Congratulations Drew !!!

A huge congratulations to Borchers' very own, Drew "Mav" Moore! The University of Wisconsin Green Bay and its Nordic Ski Team are lucky to have you! Between slinging canoes and kayaks along with his daily multiple-hour skate-ski training sessions, this guy is destined for greatness on the course and in the classroom!

Work has begun on a new segment of trail (red on the map) on the west side connecting TJ’s hill back to Interval Hill, a skiers favorite climb . This segment will give skiers the option of bypassing Dead Man’s Drop to get to Interval Hill.

Thank you to Chad Beckett for using your Saturday to help prepare our new Easy Rider bike trail segment to the skills loop. This trail will be an easier way for beginners to access the skills loop. It's still a little rough, but will get better the more it is ridden.

We have been seeing more riders checking out the trails and more families too!

Phase 2 of the MTB trails are now open at Forbush!!!

This includes a skills park loop and a jump line located adjacent to the pond in the area of the Lil Coaster ski trail. These trails can be accessed via 2 short connectors from the existing singletrack or a short pedal on the wide valley portion of the ski trail. We are also working on a beginner level singletrack connection but this is not yet ready.

Signage and an official trail map are also not yet complete but feel to come out and explore.

The skills park loop is intended to be ridden counterclockwise and features a rock garden and several wooden features designed to improve your bike handling abilities. The loop is fairly long and there is an option to circle back at the halfway point to access the rock garden feature. All the features include ride arounds.

The jump line features berms, drops, and 2 large tabletop jumps. At the bottom there is a connection to the skills park or a return path to the top. Please familiarize yourself with these advanced rider features before any full sends. Most of the surface is clay capped and shouldn't be ridden if you are leaving ruts. This will improve with time but for now give it a good 24 hours to dry after long periods of rain.
