Over the past ten days, Fisher Mountain served as the picturesque backdrop for three fantastic golf matches featuring our Pendleton County Middle and High School teams.

On Wednesday, Aug. 12 our middle school team took to the links and claimed 1st place with an impressive team score of 212. Five of our six middle schoolers placed in the top ten!

The following evening the high school team tackled the back nine, securing 2nd place with a team score of 184 and placing three Wildcats in the top ten overall.

Thursday, Aug. 20 saw both teams joining forces for a fun captain’s choice scramble. The winning group finished strong at 3-under par! Afterward, a sea of Carolina and navy filled the clubhouse to share laughs, great conversation, and a delicious meal by Twisted Irons.

Come on out Wednesday at 4 pm to watch our middle school team in action and join us on Thursday as the high school team takes on Moorefield and Hampshire at 4 pm.

Happy Sunday to all. Unfortunately, Fisher Mtn Golf Course will be closed today due to excessive rain. Twisted Irons restaurant will be open until 3:00 today. Stay safe, everyone!

Your Pendleton County High School Wildcat golfers (ranked #2 in single A in the state) will be hitting the links at Fisher Mountain starting at 4 o'clock this evening. 🏌️‍♀️ Come join us as we cheer on our 'cats! You may rent a golf car for $15 at the Pro Shop, enjoy the view from the porch, or hang out inside the clubhouse and watch score updates on the big screen TV. Don't forget, Twisted Irons will also be serving delicious food at the clubhouse! We can't wait to see you at Fisher Mountain! ⛳

Fisher Mountain was the beautiful setting for the annual Highlands Invitational 18-hole match hosted by the Pendleton County Wildcats golf team. A total of nine teams from across the state were welcomed with a gorgeous sunny day and warm temperatures. As teams arrived, each golfer had the opportunity to use the putting and chipping greens as well as visit the state-of-the- art Top Tracer driving range to warm up before heading out to the course. Golfers were carted to their starting holes and began playing after a shotgun start at 1pm. After nine holes, rain threatened to halt the match, however the skies quickly cleared and golfers continued to play. Most golfers wrapped up their round by 5:30, right before the skies opened up with a downpour of rain. A large crowd consisting of golfers, coaches, and families gathered in the clubhouse for a quick dinner by Twisted Irons before heading home. Participating teams were Pendleton County, Frankfort, Hampshire , Keyser, Lewis County, Moorefield, Tucker County, Tygarts Valley, and University. Our Wildcats (A) came in fourth place behind University (AAAA), Hampshire (AAA), and Lewis County (AAA). Four Wildcats shot under 100 and one was only a few strokes over 100. Three of those four shot in the 80s. Congratulations to our Wildcats!

Please come support these amazing young men as they hit the course every Thursday evening through September 24th beginning at 4 pm! Golf cars are available to purchase or simply come and watch from the porch where you have an amazing view of hole number 10 and hole number 18. We look forward to seeing you at Fisher Mountain!
