🏀 WE’RE HIRING! 🏀

The Franklin Area School District is seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated, and student-centered leader to serve as our Boys Varsity Basketball Head Coach for the 2026–2027 school year.

This is an exciting opportunity to build upon the proud tradition of Franklin Area Basketball while mentoring student-athletes both on and off the court. We are looking for a coach who is committed to developing character, fostering teamwork, and creating a positive, competitive program.

📨 Interested candidates should respond in writing to the High School Principal and Athletic Director at Franklin Area High School before the close of business on Thursday, August 6, 2026.

CALLING ALL FRANKLIN AND ROCKY GROVE ELEMENTARY STUDENTS!

Sign up today for our first annual elementary flag football camp! This is for students currently in K-5 (grades 1-6 for the 26/27 school year). This camp will take place on July 27, 28, 29 from 5:00-8:00 pm at the Franklin Football Field (potential make up dates are August 3, 4, 5).

Come learn skills from the varsity players, compete in competitions and games, and grow your knowledge of the game of football!

Please mail all registrations to ATTN: Austin Ion 246 Pone Lane Franklin PA 16232. Registrations that guarantee a t-shirt are due by July 1. Just detach the bottom of the attached sign up sheet and send it in. You may still register after July 1, but there is no guarantee you will receive a t-shirt.

We're excited that two of our 2026 - 2027 Senior Captains are taking the next step in their firefighting journey by completing their live burn to earn their certification as Interior Firefighters.

Attention Franklin Community: Franklin HS Student Council and FBLA invites you to JOIN US FOR A NIGHT OF CELEBRATION AND NO SITTING! THERE WILL BE DANCING, ACTIVITIES, FOOD, AND PERFORMANCES FROM OUR KNIGHTETTES AND CHEER TEAM!

Join Franklin in our fight against childhood cancer. This is a community event. All are welcome. Free admission; donations appreciated. The event is from 5-9 p.m. in the HS gymnasium. Come celebrate with us and hear how much we have raised for Four Diamonds in the fight against childhood cancer!
