While I look like a total dingus, it doesn't take away from the fact that a 1/3 of the ppl in this picture are no longer here. This was circa 2003, 04, at one of the cabins at our county park, 2mile. What a great weekend with a great group of guys, one I will never forget and surely will not forget the ones we have lost.
The last person to pass was my uncle Kevin, who passed from cancer in late June this year. Kevin was a DIEHARD, passionate angler. He loved fishing so sooo much. I grew up and have fished my whole life. BUT. I believe when he passed, his soul is now living thru me. And my reasoning for that is bc when he passed, IDK WHAAAT IT IS, or what happened but it's like a switch just flipped and I went from being a regular, part time fisherman to becoming fully engulfed and obsessed, I mean OBSESSED. And I like to believe that it's my uncle Kev and his soul living thru me. So now I will carry on his fishing legacy and continue to chase huge bass and trout β€οΈ
