What can you expect when you walk into your first class with the NJHFA?

- We're happy to see you. I mean really happy.
- We will hand you a very cool sword. A sword. Made of steel.
- You can jump right into training if you wish, or not. Your choice
- We'll explain the basics, probably more than you might want. We just love talking about this stuff. For hours.
- You will have fun - we take the art seriously, but we don't take ourselves too seriously. Be prepared for sword jokes. Princess Bride, fair game. Highlander, ditto.
- You may want to buy HEMA stuff. Lots of stuff. So much stuff.
- We're not Fight Club - we're not there to hurt each other. And we WANT you to talk about the club.
