Quietly fascinated by sharks.
Not for the reasons most people expect. Not the teeth. Not the danger. Not the drama we've been sold in every movie since we were kids.
What moves me is this: a shark never stops moving forward. Not out of aggression โ out of necessity. It's simply how they breathe. How they stay alive. Forward is the only direction that keeps them well.
I think about that a lot.
How many of us have been taught to see our own forward motion as something threatening? To apologize for taking up space, for moving with purpose, for knowing what we need and going toward it without hesitation?
The shark doesn't question whether it deserves the ocean, it just swims.
There's something in that I want to carry into my own life. Into every room I walk into, every class I teach, every hard conversation I have with myself on the mat.
Keep moving, stay curious and trust that you belong in the deep end.
You are not too much and you are exactly enough โ ๐ช๐ฏ ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ต๐ช๐ฐ๐ฏ.
What animal has ever stopped you in your tracks and made you think? I'd genuinely love to know. ๐
