Terrific Tuesday is back and what a way to kick it off.

It was awesome bringing all of our 10 and under groups together to celebrate an incredible first meet of the season. From first ever long course races, to three new divisional qualifiers and our newest zone qualifier, this group showed up in a big way. The energy on deck was awesome.

Our older swimmers were there cheering, leading, and helping younger swimmers with their caps and showing them the ropes. That’s what makes our team culture special, one FRST Family showing up for each other, celebrating every swimmer, and building something bigger than just the swim itself.

Hard work. Patience. Belief.

Congratulations to Lucas Ackermann on being highlighted by SwimSwam for his performance at the 2026 Indiana Senior Championships.

Lucas came to competitive swimming later than many athletes, but he’s become one of the quiet leaders of our team, leading by example every day in the water. His journey is a reminder that when you commit to the process, trust the work, and refuse to limit what’s possible, great things can happen.

Stories like Lucas remind us that swimming is a sport where growth is always possible and where dedication over time can lead to incredible results.

We are so proud of Lucas and grateful for his leadership on and off the deck. We are excited to watch his next chapter at Texas A&M and know he will continue to inspire others with his work ethic and determination.

With the long course season right around the corner, we are thrilled to welcome several new faces to our coaching staff. These coaches bring fresh energy, expertise, and a shared commitment to an athlete-centered culture that prioritizes long term development while keeping the sport fun and approachable for athletes of all ages. Just like Lucas, who found his passion for swimming later and has become a quiet leader through dedication and love for the sport, we are excited to help the next generation of athletes discover what is possible when they embrace the journey and fall in love with swimming.

FRST Open House is April 8th and 13th from 6-8 at the Franklin Community Middle School. Come see what our program is all about.

Fetters won the girls 100 back in a lifetime best 53.19 while Ackermann won the boys 200 breast in a lifetime best 1:55.59.

🏆 Forging Distance Champions

Winter break was a time for growth. Our newer athletes sharpened skills in developmental clinics, and our seasoned athletes rose to new challenges, proving champions are forged mid-season. That hard work paid off as Aubrey Cooper (8), Haylee Hines (9), and Oliver Inabnit (15) were crowned 2026 Indiana Swimming Virtual Distance Challenge Champions.
• Aubrey Cooper – Champion in 400 IM and 1650 Free
• Haylee Hines – Triple Crown Champion in 400 IM, 1000 Free, and 1650 Free
• Oliver Inabnit – Champion in 400 IM, becoming the second Inabnit to earn the title after his sister Caroline’s win last year

This virtual distance challenge is a modern version of the old-school postal meet, where swimmers across the state compete in their own pools, send in their times, and earn bragging rights. It celebrates long IM and distance swimming and gives athletes a chance to race events not always offered at traditional meets. 💪
