WTTA's mission is to foster the growth and enrichment of tennis and pickleball within the Western Tidewater area, and we welcome support from those who share our passion. Membership and sponsorship donations directly support operational costs to run our tennis programs, leagues, tournaments, camps, and social events for all levels of tennis players in the Franklin and Suffolk areas of Virginia

TA’s mission is to promote and develop the growth of tennis in the Western Tidewater area of Virginia. WTTA also places emphasis on introducing and fostering a lifelong love of tennis to the youth of the Western Tidewater area through the following activities and programs:
- Operating year-round programs and camps for underprivileged youth.
- Delivering Ace Obesity Program to area schools. The Ace Obesity Program instructs students on the benefits of healthy eating and getting moving and teaches tennis skills during physical education classes. Over 1,000 students have engaged in this program so far.
- Providing tennis equipment to each local school, giving over 4,000 students access to tennis.
- Helping fund tennis summer camp sponsorships for our area's underprivileged youth.
- Providing tennis programs for area high school tennis teams and coaches.
- Donating used tennis balls to area high school tennis teams.
