What a weekend! Here are some good things from each player this weekend.
Jack Dame (MVP): Avg .538 Ops 1.570 (7H 1 3B & 1HR 3 RBIs)
Jack Wheeler: Avg .556 Ops 1.636 (5H 2 2B 1 3B) Game winning run from his Triple in the semis
Eli McCoy: Avg .417 and 4 RBIs - clutch hitting when needed
Carson Glatzer: NO HITTER (5IP 7Ks 4BB W) Avg .308
Jax Farmer: Caught great behind the dish! Called most of the games Avg .286
Ross Hendrix: Phenomenal Defense at the hot corner paired with clutch hitting. Avg .250 with 4 RBIs
Carter Goff: Showed off his cannon with a couple caught stealing. Avg .250
Ryan Pearson: Was lock down at short and made some real smooth plays. Push through when we needed him. 5.1 IP 7Ks 2BB 4R W
Caleb Koffman: Started a huge rally for us in the championship and helped score the tying run. Great defense in the OF and at 1B. He pitched in the ship and got some big outs for us.
Hutch Weaver: Pitched amazing in game 1. CG 8Ks 4BB 1ER W
Charles Cook: Started the championship game and was huge for us! 2.1 IP 2H 1R. Without Chuck stepping up I'm not sure we would have made it to the end.
Nolan Fey: Put the team on his back on Sunday. Started game 1 went 5 strong 3H 2ER 2BB 1K W. Came back out the pen and was determined to finish the game. 2.2IP 3H 0R 1BB 1K W. 2 wins on the weekend.
Zach McAtee: Maybe saved the best for last. This kid had 3 saves on the weekend! Would have thought he was Brad Lidge back in 08. He finished the semi and the championship on the bump and struck out the last kid with a sword to win it!
Incredibly proud of these young men. The hard work has been paying off. On to our last tournament. Finish Strong!
