What a season! What a team! We spent the past year talking a lot about attitude and effort and the importance of being a good person. Different girls stepped up to be “the heart” of the team at different moments along our journey. These girls loved on each other, cheered for each other, held each other accountable, and picked each other up. They are excellent softball players, but they’re even better humans! We are so thankful to the fans and families who supported us all season long! Thank you for the energy and the fun this weekend! Such a special group!
We could write a novel about all of the exciting moments this weekend held, but you all would get annoyed with the rambling! 😆 We started rough our first game, but played lights out the rest of the tournament and earned ourselves some Runners Up Bling in our last rodeo of the season. (Thank you Stevens Family for the ring displays! The girls earned plenty to show off!)
Our Big Money winners this weekend:
- Raimi Brown… girl is fast as lightning and made it almost impossible for any team to throw her out at first! She was also an absolute beast at 3B!
- Kinslee Wishard… she ripped balls to the outfield all day Saturday and Sunday and ran “like a tiger was on her tail” 😉. She also had some excellent defensive plays at PH. We are going to miss this girl so incredibly much!
- Ellie Kinnett… Such a talented SS who had several big defensive moments, including multiple double plays, she also racked up a lot of clutch hits, runs, and RBIs for her team
* Our Giddy Up Player of the weekend was Scout McManus who blasted the ball at every plate appearance, ran bases like a girl on a mission, and used her flexibility to assist her team in multiple outs at 1B
So so proud and so so thankful!
