The 2026 USAOCR National Championships
USAOCR is collaborating with War-X to host the official 2026 National Championships as Tier 2 Qualifying Events for the Elite, Age Group, and Para-Adaptive National Team for 2027!

War-X is an award-winning independent OCR, known for its war-torn and explosive obstacle course race trilogy in the merciless hills of Thurman, OH.
The featured 12K (Saturday) and 3K (Sunday) competitive events will utilize the international "Three-Band System."
The Federation Internationale de Sports d’Obstacles (FISO) has established the "Three-Band System" as the international competition standard, used at both World and Regional Championships. The best and most competitive OCR athletes will prevail!
Three-Band System
- Every athlete starts with three bands and loses one band per obstacle failure.
- Retries allowed for non-hanging obstacles (e.g. walls, heavy carries). However, if an athlete cannot complete the obstacle, a band will be removed.
- No retries allowed for hanging obstacles (e.g. rigs, monkey bars, etc). If an athlete cannot complete the obstacle on the first attempt, a band will be removed.
- If an athlete loses all three bands, the athlete is deemed a "Non-Complete" finisher.
- If an athlete fails one or two obstacles, he or she will complete the same amount of penalty loops at the end of the race as failed obstacles.
- Every penalty loop is designed by the discretion of the race organizer.
