August 21 is a big night for Heard County‼️

Football kicks off the season against the Central Lions in a great matchup.

At the beginning of halftime, William Mealer and Ronny Marlow will receive their State Champion Rings.

Pictures can’t capture the grit, pain, and relentless effort it took for these kids to make it through what we call Dawg Days. This wasn’t just training — this was a test of heart, discipline, and who was willing to keep going when everything in them wanted to quit.

We pushed them physically and mentally, and they answered every time. They learned that the body will go further than they ever imagined when the mind is strong and the purpose is bigger than the pain.

This is where toughness is built. This is where a different mindset is created.

I’m beyond proud of this group and the fight they’ve shown. And none of it happens without God giving them the strength to keep going when it gets hard.

One God, one glory.

If you are coming to the wrestling camp today please drop wrestlers off at the CTAE parking lot and they walk over at ticket booth for the football field. They are pouring asphalt today at the gym.

Reminder about next week’s youth camp! Times are Monday through Wednesday from 12pm to 2pm. You can pay through the schools EZ pay! Each wrestler will get a HWC wrestling shirt! Camp will take place at the high school wrestling room!

Ronny Marlow’s and Will Mealer’s State Champion boards are now added to the state champion wall.

Georgia FCA Wrestling representatives Mike Mason and Karen Mason presented Pamela Dominguez-Vasquez with the honor of being named Georgia’s FCA Girls Wrestler of the Year.

Pamela also received a $1,000 scholarship to support her college tuition.

Congratulations, Pamela — we are so proud of you.

As you transition into your future as a teacher and coach, may you continue to use wrestling as a means to honor God and point others to Jesus.
