Just a few photos of our first summer session with new coaches Olympic Medalists Emery & Mia teaching our new skaters the basics of speed skating and the advanced skaters the finer points of generating speed. We have Thursday sessions from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. If you are interested in learning from a couple of the best skaters in the country join us for our next seven summer sessions.

REMINDER: Summer Speed Skating Starts Tonight!

The wait is over! Our Summer Ice Program kicks off TONIGHT at 7:00 PM at the Franklin Park Ice Arena!

Whether you’re a returning skater, looking to improve your racing skills or interested in trying speed skating for the first time, this is a great opportunity to get on the ice.

✅ Learn proper speed skating technique
✅ Build confidence and endurance
✅ Train with experienced coaches and teammates
✅ Have fun while developing new skills

Just a reminder to all you speed skaters out there, our summer ice time begins Thursday, June 4th at 7:00 PM. This year four time Olympian, World Record Holder, Bronze and Silver Medalist Emery Lehman will be returning to the Franklin Park Speed Skating Club now as a coach to lend his expertise and experience to all those joining us this season. This is your opportunity to learn from one of the best!

I would like to give a big heartfelt THANKS to retiring four-time Olympians Brittany Bowe and Emery Lehman who have not only given us many exciting moments watching them race and set world records but have also generously given their time, advice, and encouragement to my younger skaters whenever we are on the ice together. I will miss you both this summer when we renew our training in SLC for the upcoming season. Thank you, thank you and thank you again!

Tomorrow our own Emery Lehman and his teammates are competing at the Milan Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics. They are current world record holders and favorite to podium in the team pursuit event. Good luck Emery and Team USA!
