Just over a year ago, our Club lost a dear friend and dedicated member last year when Jeff Williams passed away from pancreatic cancer.

In his honor, his niece and fellow CLYC member, Morgan Williams Bermudez, is running the London Marathon on April 26th to raise funds for Project Purple, a charity dedicated to finding a cure for this devastating disease.

A big thank you to all the volunteers that came out for our initial dock put in, but a special thank you to this small but mighty crew (including Jim McMilan, Dave Hagen, Erik Lipson, Mike Terry, Gary Baker and our racing committee) that braved the cold water again to finish the last of the dock sections yesterday. This is the volunteer spirit hard at work at the CLYC- and now we are ready for races to start!

You heard it 100 times and you’ll hear it 100 more…the CLYC would not be what it is without its volunteers! Whether it was launching boats, making meals, securing sponsorships, running safety boats, pouring drinks, housing sailors…this crew did it all. We are so grateful for them and proud to be part of a club that has members like this!

Race 6 at the Baird 2024 NCESA National Championship Regatta has a new winner, T-17, skipper Chad Hillyer with crew, Carl Horrocks, Jimmy Kennedy, and Liz Tell. Much better weather today for the teams. 😊

Last day at the Baird 2024 NCESA National Championship Regatta! 2 races planned. By 2 pm we should know who will lift the winners trophy. These awesome trophies were handmade by regatta chairs Mike and Randi Terry. Justin Terry did the design and CNC work on them. Truly a special keepsake to remember this event. Will Team Rogers on M-42 is in the lead - will they hold and hoist this trophy? Stay tuned!
