What a fun-filled weekend had at the Curt Day Horseshoe Courts! Pitchers from all over the state came to pitch in the State Tournament hosted at Dorner Park. Thank you to Mayor Sheets for coming and kicking the weekend off. Our own quartet represented Frankfort well. Sam Payne is the State Champion in the Elders C Class, Jim Featherson was third in Elders D Class, Pat Day tied for first in the Men’s C Class but falling short in the playoff, and Jim Hinton pitched in a very competitive Elders B class. We also had score keepers from our local club; Linda Large, Kenny Wolf, Mark Carr, Matt Koors, Richard Zarse, take time to help host the event! Congrats to our pitchers on a great weekend. More pictures from the weekend will follow through the week. Thank you again to our sponsors, Goodwin Funeral Home, Genda Funeral Home, NAPA, Esserman Tire, Bell Machines, Leo’s painting and the Frankfort Lions Club. Also a special thank you to Clinton County Daily News for coming out as well. Look for pictures from the weekend there as well.

Today we hosted the Curt Day Memorial Tournament. Though the morning was chilly- it turned out to be a beautiful day for pitching some shoes. Congratulations to Gavin and Jim on co- champs of the C-Class; Gene Salee champion of B-Class; and Charlene Brown as the tournament champ! Our own Jim Hinton participated, and several local pitchers helped set-up, keep score, and put on the tournament.
