Miles for Music

Miles for Music Join us for the 2nd year of Miles for Music- a 6 hour and 12 hour endurance event! Complete at least one mile loop per hour. Live music at the end of the race.

All proceeds benefit the Second Street School PTSA and XC Team

Thank you, House of Commons, for being a huge supporter of your community and another wonderful Miles for Music sponsor. Dave and Sallie have contributed greatly to our school and residents. Recently, Dave even began increasing his long distance training and joined our friend Pete for a leg of his run across the state. We hope he gets to join us at Miles for Music this year and see if he can extend his distance PR 🏃‍♂️!

We had a 75-YEAR-OLD register for Miles for Music today!
I haven’t met Gerald Bailey yet, but I did reach out for his permission to share that he will be our oldest participant EVER to date. Turns out, he’s also freaking really cool. He is using our race to help train for a 72-hour event in October, and his goal for M4M is to reach 50 miles! What’s your excuse?

What is Miles for Music?
🏃‍♀️An endurance race meant for EVERYONE.
🏅To be a finisher, all you have to do is complete ONE MILE per hour. You can be Walker. Jogger. Runner. Beginner. Expert. Slow. Fast. Kid. Adult. All finishers get an award.
✌️This year, we have a 6-hour and 12-hour option.
3️⃣There are three one-mile loops you can choose from (switch it up, or do the same over)! I am also coming up with a 2-mile option this year.
👫 Everyone supports each other and pushes each other. It’s all about you completing your own personal goal and us helping you get there.
✅There will be:
🍧An icee truck
🐠A pond you can fish in
🧘‍♀️Yoga sessions
🥪Some snacks
🎸A free concert by Sorry Atari
🌕A full moon

I can’t believe my eyes…Doug Eades just signed up for Miles for Music to help him train for a 100-mile race November! He recently aided our last year Miles for Music winner, Jaxon, in an endurance race- so we know he hangs with good company.
I am excited to spend the day with him again and see what he can do.
Remember…Miles for Music is for anyone- beginners, old pros, walkers, runners- just set your goal and we will help you get there!
