The Freire family will be starting a new type of fight next week, as Dad begins chemotherapy and radiation treatments.
My dad—optimistic as ever—calls it a “double header”. He just beat Covid, and now will head into the battle against cancer to sweep the series.
We will be suspending baseball/softball/agilities operations at VELO until further notice. I have some modifications in the works, but this treatment program will require our immediate & full attention. In the meantime, Penny will update and refund all unused prepaid lesson packages next week.
To all of our athletes and parents… THANK YOU. It has been an incredibly special and unforgettable experience so far. I hope that in the near future we will all pick back up stronger than ever. 🥊
