Located in Framingham, MA, the Sudbury River Tennis Club (SRTC) is a private tennis club established in 1926. For nearly a century, SRTC has been home to tennis enthusiasts of all levels. Our members foster a competitive spirit, a friendly atmosphere, and a strong sense of community that make SRTC a truly special place to play tennis and make lifelong friends. SRTC offers six premier clay courts,

an active and welcoming tennis community, and a seasonal membership with no court fees—providing exceptional value for players who love the game. Sudbury River Tennis Club offers six premier clay courts, including two with lights, a welcoming tennis community, and a seasonal membership fee that’s second to none, with no court fees.

Join us on Sunday for Spec Tennis at Sudbury River! Looking for a fun mini-tennis sport that is athletic and challenging, try SPECtacular tennis. It's a new simple game created originally for children, teenagers, adults and seniors who wish to begin or improve their tennis game.

Evolving into a stand-along racquet sport, it is played on a pickleball court or within four tennis court service boxes following tennis rules. Whether you are a beginner at tennis, an advanced player or a true-and-tried pickleball player, you will enjoy SPECtacular tennis in minutes.

Equipment (a lightweight tennis paddle; a soft, low pressure/low noise tennis ball) and refreshments will be provided.

What a pleasure to host members of the Boston Chinese Tennis Association for a social event over the weekend. The fun tennis was capped off with delicious food shared by the BCTA.

UPDATE on Edgell Road & Central Street Project

MassDOT continues work on a traffic signal installation at Edgell Road and Central Street.

The $2.496 million state project involves geometric improvements and installation of a traffic signal at the intersection. The project aims to enhance vehicle operations and safety by addressing congestion issues on Central Street and rectifying existing sight distance deficiencies.

The project will also improve pedestrian mobility and safety by providing an exclusive pedestrian phase as well as ADA/AAB compliant sidewalks along both sides of all roadways and crosswalks across all approaches.

Prior to construction beginning, utility work needs to be completed. Utility work took place last week and is scheduled to continue this week, weather pending.

Afterwards, the State contractor will install erosion controls around the project area and begin sawcuting for removal and resetting of the granite curb.

Soon the State contractor will be removing the existing island at the intersection and then drainage infrastructure work will begin.

Motorists should expect delays.

It was a perfectly cloudy day for the SRTC Open House and New Member Welcome event! Thank you to Club Pros Dick Waterfall and Ted Ndinya for facilitating the warm ups, drills, and mixed up doubles to get our members - especially our new members - acclimated to the courts. 🎾
