Non-dairy homemade chicken salad that is zesty and perfect 🍋😋

I firmly believe that eating healthy and supporting a strong body does not mean sacrificing taste and flavor! I love experimenting to try to make traditional recipes healthy or more protein packed!

INGREDIENTS
1 pack Bell & Evans Chicken
5-6 stalks celery
1/2 red onion
1/2 cup Primal kitchen mayo
3/4-1 cup Forager nondairy yogurt (or sub 3/4 cup Greek yogurt
1 lemon (juice)
1/3 cup chopped pecans (or more for extra crunch!)
1/4 cup fresh parsley (or 2 tbs dried)
1 tbs honey Dijon (optional)
Garlic powder, salt, pepper, paprika, cumin to taste

POV: youve been “sucking your stomach in” since middle school and nobody told you it’s working AGAINST your core health. 🫠

Your diaphragm is designed to move with every breath. When you constantly suck in your stomach:

→ your breathing becomes shallow
→ your ribs stop expanding properly
→ your neck/shoulders pick up the slack
→ your pelvic floor and deep core can get overly tense
→ and your body stays stuck in a low-grade stress state all day

A strong core is NOT:
❌ clenching your abs 24/7
❌ making your stomach look flat every second
❌ “tiny waist” breathing

A strong core IS:
✅ pressure management
✅ diaphragm function
✅ rib cage mobility
✅ pelvic floor coordination
✅ knowing when to brace AND when to relax

Try this right now:
Place one hand on your ribs and one on your stomach. Take a slow inhale through your nose and let your ribs + belly expand 360 degrees. Then fully exhale without forcefully sucking everything in. That’s how your body was designed to breathe. 🤍

Ironically, many people look MORE bloated when they chronically grip their stomach because the muscles never fully relax and pressure has nowhere to go.

Breathe fully. Train intelligently. Stop treating your body like it needs to be “held in” all day. 👏🏼

You have to zoom out when defining the reason you exercise, lift weights, eat healthy. Look at the bigger picture.

💕 It is not all about the size on the pair of jeans, how small your reflection is when you turn to the side, or how you look in a bathing suit.

And this “greater purpose” of working out and lifting, is the ONLY (and I mean wholeheartedly) reason I have stuck with it this long and gotten results that have made me adore my body. 🙏

If you’re stuck… give yourself a moment to think about why you workout beyond the scale. Beyond aesthetics.❤️

What do you call the opposite of a thigh gap?🤔 because that’s all I want nowadays (2010 me would be horrified!)😂

No but really… can you remember searching on Pinterest for how to get a thigh gap🫠

I promise that thigh gap ain’t what it’s cracked up to be.

Just giggling that i used to craved one… how could i give that up over the strong legs that help me move, jump, lift, and achieve ❤️
