2025-2026 MSD Senior: Dominic Najjar (Hartland High School)
Dominic is very new to the world of dance. He has only been dancing in a studio for 9 months. Dominic found his love of dance through Hartland High School’s Drama club when he performed in his first show in 2025. His favourite styles of dance are Musical Theatre, Ballet, and Tap. He takes ballet and tap at Maria’s School of Dance and has thoroughly enjoyed his experience here and has learn so much more than he ever expected.

Congratulations, Dominic!🤍

2025-2026 MSD Senior: Matlyn Lawson (Fowlerville High School)
Matlyn has been dancing ever since she was 3, loving every second of it during her childhood. While she doesn’t compete, she’s managed to make connections and memories within each class she’s taken. Out of all the classes she has tried, her favorite style has been tap. In the fall, Matlyn will be attending Michigan State University, pursuing a major in theater (BA) and a minor in music. Although she doesn’t plan on continuing with dance, she will forever keep this experience and what she’s learned with her. Matlyn would like to thank the studio for sticking with her, as well as her parents for the support throughout her journey. She would also like to shoutout dancers Kiley Robertson, Lydia Hines, Sienna Dutton, Elyce Plunkett, and Natalie Ulanski for making her last couple years as special as they’ve been. She may be leaving the world of dance behind, but MSD will forever hold a place in her heart.

Congratulations, Matlyn!🤍

2025-2026 MSD Senior: Avani Kaiser (Howell High School)
Avani has been dancing ballet for 14 years and lyrical for 4. Dance has been a huge part of her life, filled with friendships and memories she’ll always carry with her. This fall, she plans to begin an apprenticeship through GM to become an automotive technician. Although this is her last year dancing, she hopes to return to Maria’s in the future and take adult classes. Avani would like to thank her parents and her sister for being so involved in her dance journey, by going to weekly practices and recitals. She also wants to thank all of her dance teachers for their support throughout the years. Her life wouldn’t be the same without the special adults who helped shape who she is today.

Congratulations, Avani!🤍

2025-2026 MSD Senior: Karalynn Johnson (Homeschool)
Karalynn has been dancing since she was three years old. She joined Dance Express in 2021, and she has loved every minute of it! The people at Maria’s have made such an impact on her, and they have truly become her second family. She would like to thank her teachers for always believing in her, even when at times she didn’t believe in herself. All of the hard moments that they gave her pep talks and wiped away her tears will never be forgotten, and she is so grateful to have such amazing role models in her life. Karalynn truly believes that dance has made her the person she is today. The early mornings, the late nights, the days of being so sore it hurt to move, the laughing till she was on the floor with her teammates, have made her who she is today. In the fall, Karalynn will be attending Alma College, where she is going to major in sports media and she will be a part of their dance team. Being a part of a collegiate dance team has been a huge goal of Karalynn’s, and she has spent countless hours working to achieve that dream. Finally, Karalynn would like to thank everyone who has supported her and shown up for her over the years, especially her mom, Marissa and Lydia, and her best friend Maddie. You have all gone above and beyond for her, and she can never express her love and gratitude!

Congratulations, Karalynn!🤍
