The Whitetail deer is one of the most desired big game animal in North America. Texas has made itself a reputation as one of the premier destinations for hunters seeking quality whitetails bucks. With 10 years of management and record keeping we have a nice purely native population of whitetail deer. The "Golden Triangle" is an area comprised of Webb, Dimmit, and La Salle counties split almost in

two by the Nueces River. Diamond D Ranch is located outside of a town called Fowlerton in northeastern La Salle County, only 1.5 hours from San Antonio. We are game fenced to help us manage our herd and feed supplementally year round. Diamond D Ranch has never brought in any out of state genetics, nor released any pen raised deer. We do not believe in controlled breeding or herd manipulation so rest assured that you will be hunting native wild deer. We are a small, high quality operation with emphasis on a top end experience. We are avid hunters ourselves and have been on many guided hunts. We know how to treat our clients. Whether you come to hunt a trophy class buck, or a management buck, you will be impressed with the abundance and quality of the deer. Recently we have begun to offer a limited number of hunts each year. If you are looking for a large, fast paced operation, we are not your outfit. But if it is a quiet, low volume, high quality experience, we are your ranch. We have hunted around the world with some of the best outfits in some of the best areas. From mountain sheep to bears, deer to moose, we can help you find and book the hunt of a lifetime! We work with the best in the business. He was in need of his Texas whitetail for his deer inner circle award. We were happy to deliver with this first evening trophy. Great memories of a great man and hunter!

HELLO IG! I’m Jason Dennis, owner & operator of Diamond D Ranch. For our inaugural post, we go back to my droptine buck from 2017. He’s only the 2nd trophy buck I’ve personally taken at our ranch in 18 years. I thoroughly enjoy guiding our trophy hunters to the bucks that get old enough. But twice now I’ve watched special bucks that I felt I might want for myself. This buck was 8.5 years old when I harvested him. He survived a tough life in the south Texas brush for longer than many bucks live. He literally had only 1 front incisor left. It was a pleasure to have watched him for those last several years where he really began to blossom antler wise. Although he was extremely cagey and only briefly gave me glimpses of himself, I’ll remember those moments. This is what ranch management is all about. This is what being a steward of the land means. Give them groceries. Give them water. Give them habitat. Let em get old!!! Many will die long before those golden years of 7.5-8.5 years. But the bucks who make it,those are the true trophy bucks of the South Texas brush country, regardless of head gear. Please follow & invite others to our new Instagram page

Congrats our friend and repeat hunter, Johnny Velazquez. This cagey old buck has been seen on and off over the years. Having not seen him at all since last season, we weren’t sure he had survived. Well he showed up right at day break Sunday morning, and the rest is history! A true rarity in the whitetail world is a standup 6x6 buck. It’s literally 1 in 1000s for sure. This 170” 12 pointer is as beautiful and symmetrical as God can create. 100% wild, pasture born & bred, he’s the buck of a lifetime. It gives us such great pleasure to be able to watch over and provide for these great animals! 🦌🏆
