In this picture, you see the rare occurrence of our growing family all together last year at Christmas.
Above it, you see a muzzleloader built by hand by Keith’s father over 50 years ago. It hangs in memory of a key figure in our lives who’s been gone for almost 27 years.
The season of Thanksgiving and Christmas can be a bittersweet time for families, a reminder that family gatherings are missing the presence of loved ones they’ve lost. It is especially hard for those who have only recently lost a loved one as they endure this season for the first time since experiencing a loss.
Remember to keep their memory alive. Talk about them. Share, laugh and cry about them. Give thanks that your lives were blessed with such special people.
