Seeing the dream I had for Adira Wellness Studio come to fruition is something I don’t take for granted. 🤍
I dreamed of creating a space where all ages, all fitness levels, all sizes, and all nationalities feel welcomed, seen, and represented.
As someone who takes Pilates classes, 95% of the time, I’m the only person in the room who looks like me. Statistically, only 10.6% of Pilates instructors are Hispanic or Latino, and 7.1% are Black or African American.
And I’m both. 😂❤️
That makes representation especially meaningful to me.
I’m incredibly proud to represent a group that makes up less than 20% of Pilates instructors, but even more proud to create a studio where someone else doesn’t have to wonder if they belong.
Adira is more than a wellness studio. It’s a reminder that movement, strength, wellness, and community are for EVERYONE.
If you’ve ever felt like you didn’t “fit the mold” of what a fitness space was supposed to look like, I hope you find your place here!
All bodies. All backgrounds. All levels. One community.
Welcome to Adira. 🤍
