Hello Everyone,
I am running for Burlingame City Council (District 2).
Burlingame is more than just a place on the map; it's home. My family and I have been part of this community for over 20 years, with our three children attending local public schools. As a dedicated public servant, I understand the issues that matter most to you, from preserving neighborhood charm to addressing traffic congestion.
For the past eight years, I have served on the San Mateo County Commission on the Status of Women, advocating for women's issues across 20 cities. I’m proud that our Board of Supervisors recognized the importance of closing the gender pay gap and signed the California Equal Pay Pledge.
I also serve as President of the Association of Commissions of California Commissions on Status of Women, fighting for the ratification of the Equal Rights Amendment and equal pay.
My campaign is built on three core principles: community, transparency, and progress, with a four-part platform:
1. Fix Traffic Congestion: Collaborate with experts to improve commutes and install digital signage for parking.
2. Preserve Burlingame's Character: Promote sustainable development and energy-efficient infrastructure.
3. Revitalize Broadway: Enhance pedestrian-friendliness while maintaining small-town charm.
4. Address Loneliness: Implement intergenerational programs to connect seniors and youth.
This campaign is not about me; it is about us and the future we want to build together. Let’s create a brighter, more inclusive tomorrow for Burlingame where every person feels valued, and every dream has a chance to flourish. Together, we will build a future that honors our past, embraces our diversity, and paves the way for generations to come.
I ask for your support, your ideas, and your vote.
