SF Bay Area Dragons Dragon Boat Team We practice year-round. A 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Our racing team is known as the Bay Area Dragons (BAD). Our organization is run by 100% volunteers.

Established in 1996, we are the founding world-class Norcal dragon boat racing team located in the San Francisco Bay Area in Foster City, CA (San Mateo County). The Bay Area Dragon Boat Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and our primary focus is dragon boat racing. We have some of the most experienced dragon boat paddlers in Northern California. Formed in 1996, the Bay Area Dragon Boat Foundation provides coaching, steering, and general support for our members and local teams. BAD is a member of the Pacific Dragon Boat Association (PDBA) and we have competed internationally representing the United States. Visit our website at bayareadragons.org.

The BAD Corporate Race 6-6-26 is a wrap!
Another awesomely fun BAD Dragon Boat Race Festival in the books!

With 36 teams, yummy food trucks, live rock band, festival vendors, massage therapists, over 2000 people including supporters and spectators came together for a wonderful day of Dragon Boat Racing in the largest annual NorCal Community Dragonboat Race Festival!

THANK YOU to all the teams for coming out and to the team captains who worked hard to get their teams together! CONGRATULATIONS to all the teams!
We hope all the winning teams are enjoying their hard-earned sun-dial rotating hardware! 🎖️🎖️🎖️

DEEPEST GRATITUDE AND BIG THANK YOU to our 75+ Bay Area Dragons (BAD) dragonboat team adult and youth Volunteers for helping take care of Marshalling, Dock Support, steering, drumming, manning the Start line and Finish Line, and race info booth!! You started at 6am and didn’t go home till past 7pm! This race festival could only happen with all your efforts! GO BAD!!! ❤️❤️💙💙💚💚🚣‍♀️🚣‍♀️🚣‍♀️
