The Bagley-Fosston Cross Country teams opened up their season at the Lake of the Woods Meet at Zippel Bay State Park yesterday. Easton Gilbertson finished in 7th place, Joseph Baumann 8th and Alivia Heller finished in 8th place in the girls meet.

You are invited to Thompson Field on Tuesday, August 25 to kickoff the year and meet our Fall Sports teams. Each team will be introduced a little after 6pm. Then you'll have a chance to get a root beer float, visit with the teams and coaches. Practices get underway on Monday! We are excited for a great fall season!

Fosston School District has changed our activities calendar platform to BOUND. We will be using this platform for all of our activities, athletics and facilities scheduling. We are still working on entering all of our events, but we have our fall varsity schedules entered and are continuing to enter our lower-level schedules as well as our school calendar dates. Please click the link below to check it out. This will continue to be a work in progress.

We apologize for the delay; there has been a lot of training and a lot of work to get our schedules transitioned over to BOUND. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we make this switch.

Congratulations to all! What a great day in the heat! Good luck at the State Track and Field Meet next week at St. Michael-Albertville High School.

SECTION 8A TRACK & FIELD RESULTS

Bagley-Fosston will be sending six individual entries and one relay team to the State Track & Field Meet following an outstanding day at the Section 8A meet.

STATE QUALIFIERS

🏅 Brydin Daniel placed 2nd in both the 100-meter dash and 200-meter dash to qualify for state. His time of 22.30 in the 200 broke the Fosston school record.

🏅 Claire Klinkhammer qualified for state by auto qualifying by time placing 3rd in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.63, breaking her own Fosston school record.

🏅 Hannah Fonder placed 2nd in the 800-meter run to qualify for state.

🏅 William Strandberg placed 2nd in the 300-meter hurdles to qualify for state.

🏅 Trenton Frazier won the Section 8A discus with a throw of 153-9 to qualify for state.

🏅 The boys 4x400 relay team of Ethan Proulx, Gage Gray, William Strandberg and Brydin Daniel placed 2nd to qualify for state.

Congratulations to the Bagley-Fosston Track Field Teams on a great day at Sub-Sections yesterday! Good luck to all of the athletes competing at the Section Meet in Mahnomen, one week from today (Friday, May 29). Have a great weekend.

Congratulations to the Greyhound golf team on a great day at the Sub-Section golf meet yesterday at Headwaters Golf Course. The boys golf team finished 2nd as a team and advanced to Sections next week. James Danos finished runner-up as an individual and Lewis Johnson finished in a tie for 3rd.

The girls golf team finished in 3rd place, but advanced all six golfers to the Section meet next week at the Bemidji Town and Country Club.

It was a cold and rainy afternoon for softball but it is always better when you come home with 2 playoff wins!

Congratulations to the East Polk North Star Softball team, they went to Lake Park and won their first two playoff games today. They beat the Lake of the Woods Bears before coming from behind to upset the LPA Raiders in the second round.

The six seeded North Stars will head to Greenbush on Tuesdag when they take on the second seed BGMR Gators at 4pm.

Way to go girls! Good luck on Tuesday!!

Tonight we had the privilege to join over 30 schools state-wide in honoring Coach Gary Brantl by turning the lights on at our football field. Coach Brantl was the Head Football Coach and Athletic Director at RLCC for over 30 years! Our thoughts are with the Brantl family and the RLCC communities.
