This next week is going to be HOT. ☀️🥵 And when temperatures climb, taking care of your body becomes even more important.

Training in extreme heat puts extra stress on your body. You’re sweating more, losing more fluids and electrolytes, and working harder to regulate your temperature — which means your normal routine might not be enough.

💧 HYDRATE: Don’t wait until practice or your workout to start drinking water. Hydration starts well before you walk through the doors.

⚡ REPLACE: When you sweat, you’re losing more than water. Make sure you’re replacing electrolytes throughout the day.

🍌 FUEL: Heat can suppress your appetite, but your body still needs energy. Consistent meals and snacks help you train, recover, and perform.

🧠 LISTEN: Headaches, dizziness, unusual fatigue, cramping, or feeling “off” are signals you shouldn’t ignore. Adjust when you need to.

This week, prepare before you perform. Bring your water, fuel your body, prioritize recovery, and take the heat seriously.

The goal isn’t just to get through the workout — it’s to keep showing up at your best.

Starting August 17th, we are opening enrollment for your home school athletes! As we are gearing up for the Fall semester, we’ve added more options for young athletes to participate in training here at APEC.

Class Times
K-5th: 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Middle School/High School: 12:30 PM - 2:00 PM
