You can drink all the coffee in the break room and still crash at hour 6 because your body is not confused about what you ate. It’s confused about when you ate it.
Four things that change everything:
Last caffeine 5-6 hours before you sleep.
Shift ends at 7, sleeping at 9, that means your last cup is around 2am.
Eat 2 hours before you clock in. Not in the car. Eating right before a shift puts your blood sugar on a roller coaster for the first 3 hours.
Fuel at hour 4 and hour 8. Not whenever you finally get a break.
Post shift, protein first.
A big carb heavy meal at 7am is why you wake up at 11 wired and exhausted.
None of this is about eating less. It’s about eating on a clock your body can actually follow.
I’m breaking all of this down in my free class this Sunday.
