RIR = Reps in Reserve.
It’s one of the ways we help athletes train hard without guessing, overreaching, or turning every set into a max-effort grind.
In our programming, RIR gives us a way to match the day’s training to the athlete’s actual readiness. Some days you have more in the tank. Some days you don’t. Knowing how many reps you could still perform helps us adjust intensity, build awareness, and keep progress moving without unnecessary wear and tear.
Coach Adonys breaks down what RIR means and how we use it at enduraLAB.
Are you training with intention, or just chasing fatigue?
