It is officially the end of an era for Paramount. Taylor Sheridan—the powerhouse creator who practically built the Paramount+ streaming platform on the back of Yellowstone, Mayor of Kingstown, Tulsa King, and Lioness—is officially leaving the studio for a massive new home.

Sheridan has signed an historic, eye-popping five-year overall deal with NBCUniversal valued at over $1 billion.

What This Means for Yellowstone and the Sheridan Universe
The biggest question on every fan's mind is what happens to the massive slate of shows currently airing on Paramount+.

1. The Existing Shows Stay Put
Paramount retains 100% ownership of the Intellectual Property (IP) for everything Sheridan created under their roof. This means Yellowstone, Dutton Ranch, 1923, Tulsa King, Landman, and Lioness are not moving. They will remain on Paramount's streaming platforms permanently.

2. Sheridan Will Still Showrun Until 2028
Because his television contract runs through December 31, 2028, Sheridan is legally obligated to continue writing and executive-producing the upcoming seasons of his current slate. Fans will still get his signature voice on Dutton Ranch and Y: Marshals for the next few years.
