Grounded Combat Jujitsu Our approach is built around functional self-defense that works in real-world situations.

That means under pressure, against resistance, and in unpredictable environments. We teach ground fighting, striking, weapon defense, and situational awareness.

Mizu Aikido of Fort Worth is becoming Grounded Combat Jujitsu.

As we evolve, it's time for a new direction — one that better reflects our commitment to practical, effective self-defense.

Our training will now focus on ground fighting defense, while continuing to emphasize real-world functionality. The new Grounded Combat Jujitsu system will integrate ground fighting, striking, weapon defense, and situational awareness into a comprehensive self-defense program.

To all our students who have trained with and supported Mizu Aikido over the years — thank you. Your dedication has made this journey possible, and we look forward to growing together in this next chapter.
