Thank you to everyone who came out for Rounds 2 and 3 of Cowtown Karting! We had a great turnout and a lot of fun this weekend. I truly enjoyed getting to know everyone better — parents, mechanics, and of course the drivers.
A major thank you to all of the staff who made this weekend possible!
A few things we’re already working on for the future:
Tech — I had someone lined up, but unfortunately he had a business emergency and had to cancel Friday evening. We’ll have this addressed moving forward.
Transponders — I understand they’re an additional expense, especially when you’re just getting started. Unfortunately, rental transponders are extremely expensive to purchase by the case. I will do my best to have rentals available, but I can’t promise them as I’m currently at the mercy of other clubs. I’m also working with other series on a plan to hopefully alleviate this issue collectively.
For now, if rentals aren’t available, you will need to borrow or purchase one. We will not score a kart without a transponder. I tried to be flexible this weekend to make sure everyone could race and have fun, but that flexibility was taken advantage of. Going forward, the rule needs to be firm and consistent for everyone.
Tires & Fuel — Eleven Motorsports will be available at the next event for tire and fuel purchases. They were out of town racing in Austin this weekend.
Outside of those things, we’d love to hear your feedback — good or bad. Let us know what you thought about the schedule, race-day structure, track time, or anything else we can improve.
Please send any feedback directly to us in a DM. It helps us figure out what is working and what needs to change for the next round.
Thanks again for coming out and supporting Cowtown Kart Club!
