Avoiding cleansing does not make your lash extensions last longer. Oil, makeup, dead skin, and bacteria can collect along the lash line, causing irritation and increasing the risk of blepharitis—an inflammation of the eyelids.
Poor lash hygiene may lead to:
• Itching, redness, or swelling
• Crusty buildup around the lash line
• Poor extension retention
• Blocked hair follicles
• Premature shedding or damage to your natural lashes
Wash your lash extensions daily with a professional lash cleanser and a clean, soft brush. Rinse thoroughly, pat dry, and gently brush them once they are completely dry.
