FWAFA dance students participated in a Polynesian cultural dance workshop led by DFW master teacher, Patricia Manalo Bochnak. Students learned traditional Hula from Hawaii, sitting hula from Tahiti, and T**i Torea and Poi Ball warrior dances from New Zealand. These fun dances helped students understand different cultures and challenged their coordination and rhythm skills. Mrs. Bochnak currently teaches at Casa Manana, Texas Ballet Theater, and other local dance studios.

Academy Dance Company members were invited to perform a Texas rendition of Sleeping Beauty with the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra. It was a joy bringing this magical fairy tale to life, and the dancers had so much fun performing with the live orchestra! Thank you for this amazing opportunity!

✨ Exciting news! ✨
We are thrilled to announce that Academy Dance Company (ADC) has been selected to perform FOUR pieces at the Regional High School Dance Festival this spring at Texas A&M University!
One of these selected works is choreographed by our very own senior and NHSDA President, Carol Harris, a huge accomplishment!
We are incredibly proud of our dancers’ dedication, artistry, and hard work.
