Come join us at the FWAFA Student Choreography Concert and Senior Solo Exhibition!
Student Choreography Concert features performances choreographed and performed by FWAFA elementary, middle, and high school students. We are now bringing back and combining Ready, Set, Show, a student choreography challenge. Ready, Set, Show features dances choreographed by ADC students in less than 10 hours! In addition, this concert will also feature solos performed by Dance Endorsement Seniors to commemorate their final year with FWAFA Dance.
This is a family friendly performance with something for everyone.
Come see the first FWAFA dance performance of the 2026-2027 school year!
All donations for this event go directly to help fundraise for the National High School Dance Festival.

Where: FWAFA Auditorium

Student Choreography Concert auditions next Wednesday the 19th! This is a fully student directed and choreographed show and is such a great opportunity to get your self choreography onstage! Sign up for a time slot from 4-6:30pm and be prepared with your solo, duo/trio, or group dance!! (number of solos is limited, duo/trio or groups are encouraged)

ADC and ADCT retreat recap! This weekend was the perfect start for the new school year. Dancers got a head start on choreography for the fall semester and had so much fun with senior led games and activities!!

FWAFA dance students participated in a Polynesian cultural dance workshop led by DFW master teacher, Patricia Manalo Bochnak. Students learned traditional Hula from Hawaii, sitting hula from Tahiti, and T**i Torea and Poi Ball warrior dances from New Zealand. These fun dances helped students understand different cultures and challenged their coordination and rhythm skills. Mrs. Bochnak currently teaches at Casa Manana, Texas Ballet Theater, and other local dance studios.

Academy Dance Company members were invited to perform a Texas rendition of Sleeping Beauty with the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra. It was a joy bringing this magical fairy tale to life, and the dancers had so much fun performing with the live orchestra! Thank you for this amazing opportunity!

We are thrilled to announce that Academy Dance Company (ADC) has been selected to perform FOUR pieces at the Regional High School Dance Festival this spring at Texas A&M University!
One of these selected works is choreographed by our very own senior and NHSDA President, Carol Harris, a huge accomplishment!
We are incredibly proud of our dancers’ dedication, artistry, and hard work.
