The Fort Wayne Curling Club will once again be a featured destination for this year’s Be a Tourist In Your Own Hometown event run by Visit Fort Wayne. We will be open from 12:00 pm - 5:00 pm this Sunday, September 13th.

This year, Lawn Bowls and Croquet will be our featured activities but the warm room will be open and the ice will be looking sharp for those that visit. We will be promoting Learn to Curls and our Curling Rookie as well.

We need your help to make this event a success.

We need people to:
1. Tend bar, both in the warm room and in the bar by the bowling green (must have a valid server’s license)
2. Greet people as they come into the warm room. Greeters will talk up curling, promote the upcoming Learn to Curl sessions and the Rookie league, show people the ice and encourage people to go around back and try Lawn Bowls and Croquet.
3. Greet people as they enter the bowling green area. Greeters will talk to people about Lawn Bowls and Croquet, coordinate people getting instruction, promote Lawn Bowls and Croquet Drop-In sessions, and encourage people to go in and see the ice in the Curling Club.

No experience in curling, lawn bowls or croquet is required to be a greeter, we will provide you with all of the information that you need.

We have created a SignUp Genius and have set up 2 sessions (11:00 am - 2:30 pm and 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm). If you can do both sessions, that would be greatly appreciated. Please sign up and help us make the event a success.

The CENDIV Teams Classic will be held at the brand new Fort Wayne Lawn Bowls Club on October 3rd and 4th.

Teams of 4 players will compete in singles, pairs, triples and fours.

This event will be as much a party as a bowls tournament and is therefore ideal for less experienced bowlers.

Unique features of this event include:
- A full bar located just a few feet from the green
- A 3000 sq. ft. air-conditioned social room is available for relaxation and socialization
- Evening play under the lights
- A free Learn to Curl (the Olympic Sport of Curling) session is included for each participant.
- Late-night glow-in-the-dark Croquet
- Burgers, Hot Dogs, Brats and more available all weekend
