🌳 TRAIL CLEANUP RESCHEDULED! 🧤

We had to cancel our last trail cleanup, but we have a new date!

Join us on Saturday, November 21 at 2:00 PM as we come together to help keep our local trails clean and beautiful.

This is a great opportunity to give back to our running community and earn FWRC volunteer points for those who still need them!

📍 Meet at Covington Plaza parking lot (between Planet Fitness and Flagstar Bank)
Once everyone has signed in and received a brief overview, we'll split into two groups. Each group will begin at opposite ends of our adopted trail and work toward each other as we clean up along the way.
Please bring:
🧤 Work gloves
💧 Water
☀️ Sunscreen
🦟 Bug spray

Every helping hand makes a difference. We hope you can join us!

📣 YOUR CLUB. YOUR VOICE. YOUR VOTE!

The Fort Wayne Running Club is preparing for the next chapter, and we want YOU to be part of it!

At our next Board of Directors meeting, members will have the opportunity to elect the Board Members who will serve for the 2027–2028 term.

As a member of FWRC, you have a voice in the direction of your club and in choosing the people who will help lead it into the future. We encourage you to attend the meeting, learn about the candidates, and participate in the election.

We've attached information about the candidates, including the talents, experience, and ideas they hope to bring to the Board.

This is YOUR running club, and your voice matters! Don't miss the opportunity to be involved and have a say in who represents you.

We hope to see you there!

📅 Board Meeting: November 11, 2026 7:00pm
📍 Location: Allen County Public Library Main Branch, 900 Library Plaza, Fort Wayne

*Please note: Members can vote for Board of Directors, not officers. Only Board of Directors may vote for officers.

🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️ NORTHEAST INDIANA MAKES ITS MARK AT STATE! 🏆

What a weekend for Northeast Indiana at the Indiana High School State Cross Country Championships! Our area athletes delivered some outstanding performances, and there is plenty to celebrate!

Carroll High School boys brought home the STATE CHAMPIONSHIP! Leading the way were three runners who finished in the top 10:
🥉 3rd – Sam Sweet
🏅 4th – Kai Feasel
🏅 7th – Taegan McKinney

Three runners in the top 10 is an incredible accomplishment! The championship marks Carroll's first state title since 2016.

The girls competition had some record-breaking excitement, too!

Concordia Lutheran's Daphne Weller dominated the field, winning the state championship in a record-breaking 16:52.2! Her closest competitor finished nearly 15 seconds behind. Teammate Leighton Archer also earned a top-10 finish in 17:40.1.

Columbia City's Kenya Leitch added another impressive performance, finishing 5th in 17:26.

And there's more to celebrate!
🏆 Homestead girls captured 2nd place.
🏆 Homestead boys finished 5th.

Congratulations to all of these outstanding athletes, coaches, and teams! Northeast Indiana was well represented, and we couldn't be prouder of the talent and dedication on display.

We hope to recognize and celebrate some of these exceptional area athletes at the Fort Wayne Running Club's Annual Celebration. What a great time to be part of the Northeast Indiana running community! 💜🩵
