🎉 HAPPY BIRTHDAY, COACH KAYTLIN! 🎉

If you’ve spent any time at the Fort, you’ve probably seen Kaytlin before you’ve even had your first sip of coffee.

5:30am crew. Big smile. Welcoming energy. Small in stature, big in spirit!

Kaytlin has been part of the Fort family for almost 2.5 years and has been coaching for more than a year now. And watching her grow has been pretty dang cool 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

She’s the kind of coach who notices when someone needs a little extra encouragement. She listens. She meets people where they’re at. She makes members feel taken care of. That stuff matters. A lot.

And then there’s Kaytlin the athlete.

Recently PR’d her 5K.
Ran a 6-hour trail race.
Continues to willingly sign herself up for challenges that probably looked a little intimidating at first 😂

That’s Kaytlin. She keeps showing up, keeps getting better, and keeps finding ways to stretch herself both as an athlete and as a coach.

When she’s not at the Fort, she’s probably getting her hands dirty in the garden, baking something delicious, watching football with her family, listening to some aggressively loud metal, or quietly plotting her next fantasy football domination 🏈🤘🏻

We’re dang lucky to have you, Kaytlin. Thanks for being exactly who you are and for making the Fort a better place just by showing up.

Happy birthday, Coach Kaytlin Hart 💙🎉💛

🍂 FALL IS HERE… AND YOUR NUTRITION GOALS DON’T HAVE TO GO INTO HIBERNATION.

Cooler weather brings cozy meals, football weekends, family gatherings, pumpkin everything, and plenty of opportunities to enjoy food.

And that’s a good thing.

Too often, people think eating for their fitness goals means one of two things:

❌ Eat “perfectly” all week
OR
❌ Give up and tell themselves they’ll get back on track in January

But there is a much better option.

You can enjoy fall foods AND continue making progress toward your goals.

Pumpkin. Sweet potatoes. Apples. Oats. Butternut squash. Brussels sprouts.

These foods aren’t something you need to avoid—they can actually help fuel your workouts, support recovery, keep you satisfied, and add variety to your meals.

The goal isn’t to eat perfectly.

The goal is to build a way of eating you can actually sustain.

Keep it simple:

🥩 Protein
🥦 Produce
🍠 Quality carbohydrates
🥑 Healthy fats

Build most of your meals around those things, choose foods you genuinely enjoy, and remember:

Your nutrition should support your fitness goals and your life.

If you’re tired of guessing what to eat, starting over every Monday, or feeling like you have to choose between enjoying food and reaching your goals, we’re here to help 👊🏻

AUGUST WAS A MONTH OF GETTING STRONG
💙💪🏻💛

We just wrapped up our 12-week Absolute Strength Cycle, and the results speak for themselves.

Actually… there were so many results, we ran out of room. 😅

Two whiteboards. Copious amounts of PRs. Squats, deadlifts, presses, cleans, and lifts that members once thought were out of reach.

But the best part isn’t just the numbers.

It’s watching people show up week after week, put in the work, encourage the person next to them, and discover that they are capable of more than they thought possible.

Stronger individually. Stronger together. Stronger as a community.

To every Fort Fitness member who showed up and put in the work over the last 12 weeks: WE SEE YOU. WE’RE PROUD OF YOU. AND WE’RE JUST GETTING STARTED. 🔥👏🏻🔥👏🏻🔥👏🏻🔥

Now excuse us while we go find a third whiteboard. 😂

You don’t have to be “fit enough” before you walk through our doors.

You just have to be ready to take the first step.

Because at Fort Fitness, we believe great coaching is about more than workouts, reps, and PRs.

It’s about being seen.

It’s about having a coach who knows your goals, meets you where you are, and helps you keep moving forward, even on the days when simply showing up feels like the win.

And it’s about finding something even more powerful along the way:

People who support you.
People who encourage you.
People who eventually become your friends.

That’s the experience we work to create every single day.

Thank you for trusting us with your fitness journey and for being such an important part of what makes the Fort Fitness community special. ❤️

If you’re looking for more than just a place to work out and want coaching, accountability, and a community that genuinely cares about your success, we’d love to meet you.

You don’t need to get in shape before you come to the gym.

You don’t need to know how to squat.

You don’t need to know what a clean is.

You don’t need to spend the next 6 months “getting ready” to start.

Honestly…that’s kind of what we’re here for. 🤷‍♂️

At Fort Fitness, we don’t just point at a workout on the wall and say, “Good luck!”

We start by getting to know you.

Your goals. Your experience. Where you’re currently at. What you want fitness to help you do.

Then we look at how you move, coach you through the basics, and help you build a foundation you can actually build on.

Because your first day shouldn’t feel like a test you have to pass.

It should feel like the beginning of a plan.

And from there?

You show up.

We coach.

You get a little better.

Then we do it again. 💪

No, you don’t have to have it all figured out before you walk through the door.

You just have to be willing to start.

You had a plan.

Wake up.
Get the workout in.
Eat a little better.
Start the week strong.

Then life happened.

The alarm felt extra early.
The kids needed something.
Work got busy.
You missed a workout… or maybe the entire week.

And suddenly, that little voice starts talking:

“I’ll start again next Monday.”
“I don’t have enough time.”
“I’m already behind.”
“What’s the point?”

Here’s your Monday reminder:

You don’t need perfect conditions to make progress.

A growth mindset doesn’t mean pretending life is easy or telling yourself you should be able to do it all.

It means learning to ask a different question.

Instead of:

“What can’t I do today?”

Ask:

“What CAN I do?”

Maybe that’s a full workout.

Maybe it’s 30 minutes.

Maybe it’s scaling.

Maybe it’s taking a walk.

Maybe it’s simply walking back through the doors after being gone for a while.

The goal isn’t perfection. The goal is to keep becoming the person you want to be—even when the plan falls apart.

So this week, when life gets busy and it probably will don’t wait for the perfect day to start again.

Ask yourself: Who do I want to be right now?

Then make the next choice that person would make.

One choice. One day. One rep at a time.

Bring your friend.

Because apparently, friendship means:

“Let’s get stronger together.” 🤝

…and 47 minutes later:

“Are you still alive?” 😂

That’s the thing about training with good people.

They make the hard days more fun.
They push you when you need it.
They celebrate the wins.
And occasionally, they stand over you while you question every decision that led you here.

Bring a Friend Week is coming to Fort Fitness this September.

If you’ve got someone you’ve been telling, “You should come work out with me,” this is your sign.

Bring them in.

We’ll take care of the rest.

Send this to your buddy or tag your person below
