The last couple of days have been crazy for our team to say the least 😅. As many of you know, our charter bus scheduled to get us to Nationals broke down on the side of the road in Ohio. We were stranded for 12 hours, but received so much love and support from so many people to help us reach our destination. With that being said, we owe some thank yous:
•Skyline Bowling Center of Gallipolis Ohio- This bowling alley in Gallipolis, OH graciously hosted our entire club until 1am, staying open until our “new” bus arrived at 1am. They also let our kids play games and bowl for free to keep them entertained, and even let us get some rest there. We are so grateful for you all, as we would probably STILL be on the side of the road. Also a thank you to the University of Rio Grande for sending a campus shuttle to get us, and transport us to the bowling alley, where the Athletic Director arranged with the owners for us to stay. •A Goff Limozines and Bus Company- They saw our story online, and sent out a rescue mission to save us! The bus was super nice and our a driver Dee is now family 🫶🏽. They have been so great and accommodating to our group for what we have been through, and we appreciate them more than they will ever know! A GOFF Limousine and Bus Company
•21alive- Thank you so much for covering our story and putting the word out there. They also followed up with the story, and even went to the bus company to find answers for us, as we were still struggling. Their support reached a bunch of people, to the point where other teams at the meet knew who we were because they saw our segment. 🧡 21Alive
Lastly thank you to all of you! None of this would have been possible without all the love and support we’ve received. Whether you paid to sponsor a kid for the summer, donated to our gofundme, sent money while we were stranded, or you just bought 1 bag of popcorn from our fundraiser. Your support has fueled our club, travel, uniforms, and anything else our kids needed for the summer. Thank you all again so much! We’re finally safe and at the meet, the kids are competing very well and loving the experience, and we are having a ball as a family! More posts to come from Nationals! 🧡🖤
