Women's Golf Association at National Golf Club The TWGA is an organization at National Golf Club that invites all female members to join. Play days are every Tuesday from April through October.

The Women’s Golf Association (TWGA) is an organization at National Golf Club that sponsors weekly play, major tournaments, two mixers with the Senior Men’s Golf Association, and birdie/ringer/hole-in-one recognition. Any TWGA member may play the weekly play game on the preceding Saturday or Sunday. Major tournaments include Four-Lady Classic (shamble format); Handicap Tournament (full handicap al

lowance); Governor’s Cup (partners lowest score is used for each hole); Chairman’s Cup (Pinehurst format); Club Championship (match play); Senior Women’s Championship (low gross for overall winner and low net within flights); and the Crystal Tournament which lasts all season. There are flights for 9- and 18-hole players. Members of TWGA may also participate in interclub league play. Leagues include Career Women’s Golf (CWG) with Sunday play through October; and Women’s District of Columbia Golf Association (WDCGA) team play in April and May and monthly tournaments throughout the summer and fall. TWGA sometimes hosts a Member-Guest in June. Free clinics for long- and short-game and rules are offered in the spring.
