School is back in session, and Fort Washington United’s Aftercare Program is about much more than simply giving kids somewhere to go after school.
Our goal is to make those afternoon hours count.
🚌 SCHOOL PICKUP
We provide pickup from participating Fort Washington-area schools for students in grades K–7.
📚 INDIVIDUALIZED ACADEMIC SUPPORT
Homework completion is part of the program — but we go further.
Each child receives individualized tutoring focused specifically on reading or math, based on where that student needs the most development.
And tutoring isn’t only for kids who are struggling.
🚀 Already advanced in math? We keep going. Rather than having a student repeat material they’ve already mastered, we can begin pushing them toward the next level of math and continue challenging them academically.
🥋 JIU-JITSU • MMA • STRIKING • GRAPPLING
Kids get out of the classroom and MOVE. Martial arts training develops practical skills while reinforcing confidence, discipline, resilience, fitness, and self-defense.
🤖🎨💻 CLUBS & ENRICHMENT
Aftercare students are also eligible to participate in our:

And we don’t just want kids participating — we want them leading.
⭐ Our clubs include Aftercare Kid Captains, giving students opportunities to take responsibility, help other children, and develop real leadership experience.
Throughout the program, aftercare students may be placed in age-appropriate positions of responsibility where they learn to lead, communicate, mentor, and contribute to their team.
