Dan Messisco Sensei at River of Life, March 22-23, 2013

Messisco Sensei brings a fresh approach each time we see him, calling attention to direct experience and continued connectedness with the ever-unfolding forms of Aikido. River of Life and Aikido Seishinkan Dojo welcome back this former instructor for a special weekend intensive!

There is no fee for lodging in the dojo, so bring something to sleep on if you wish! We hope you'll come out for Friday night's fun group dinner!

Sensei Bill Gleason comes to River of Life for Kagami Biraki

Friday, 1/11 6pm-8pm
Saturday, 1/12 9am-12noon and 1-3pm,

River dowsing at 3pm followed by party from 3-5pm

Sensei Gleason will lead us in Aiki principles & Aikido techniques and also in a special purification ritual to help us bring in the new year and forget the old.

Those 12yrs and up may come and participate in the ceremonial water purification dowse in the Wissahickon river at 3pm, and of course anybody can watch the dowsing!

There is no fee for lodging in the dojo so if you want, bring your bed roll... oh, and buy or bring a lunch for Saturday!

Hi Fellow Aikidoka,

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the Massimo Seminar scheduled for Nov. 9th-11th, 2012 at the River of Life Center in Ft. Washington, PA, has been postponed.

Sensei and his entourage have had an unavoidable scheduling conflict arise, but he and Sensei David have already discussed a new date for the seminar in 6/2013. Please keep an eye out for details as the time approaches.

This means the next aikido seminar here at River of Life will be Gleason Sensei at Kagami Biraki in the 2nd week of January 2013. Save the date -- Flyer forthcoming!

Di Villadorata is currently chief instructor of the Montreal Aikikai, the largest aikido dojo in Canada with more than 200 members.
