Last weekend hosted yet another Richard Reeves Memorial Golf Tournament. And an honor it was to be able to do host this event once again. The story of the RRM is beautiful and it is something that many will not understand until you’ve experienced an event yourself, have been blessed by their silent actions or simply are from a small town and know what it means to have a community come together.
The Reeves family so selflessly gives their time and profits to help families that may be in need. You don’t have to ask, you don’t have to fill out an application, they just give it. They host events to raise money, they organize everything within themselves and with the help of the community. It’s beautiful, beyond what a simple written piece of text can explain.
This weekend we were reminded of all of the beautiful things this life has to offer each of us. We were reminded that in the midst of struggle and pain, we too can continue to give and be good. Fort Stockton is beautiful, the people of Fort Stockton are amazing and the community you are surrounded with while being here is amazing. It was much more than a golf tournament that was held this weekend, it was a reminder to , to be , to and most of all it was a memorial to Richard Reeves and all the good his family has done to carry on his name and legacy.
