🚨Fort Stockton Blue Wave Swimmers Punch Tickets to Regionals‼️

The Fort Stockton High School swimming and diving team secured multiple regional berths at the District 2-4A Championships on Jan. 22nd!🌊💙🏊‍♂️
Alexandro Montoya added an individual qualification, placing 4th in the 50 freestyle (24.37).
🥉Three relay teams claimed bronze medals and regional spots:
Boys 200 Medley: Alexandro Montoya, Christian Soto, Daniel Perez, and Cisco Ramos (1:59.24).
Boys 200 Free: Montoya, Camiren Sexton, Andrew Black, and Perez (1:44.53).
Girls 200 Free: Dustee Dale, Alexis Rodriguez, Carla Vazquez, and Sofia García (1:58.57).
The Boys 400 Freestyle Relay locked up a 4th-place finish to advance to Regionals. Alexandro Montoya, Christian Soto, Andrew Black, and Cisco Ramos. 💪
The Girls 400 Freestyle Relays also advanced, with a 4th-place finish by Dustee Dale, Alexis Rodriguez, Carla Vazquez, and Sofia García. 💙
Regional alternates included Daniel Perez (6th, 50 Free) and Christian Soto (6th, 100 Free)!
🌟Top Notable time drops: Nathan Armendariz in the 200 IM with an 8th place finish by 12 seconds!
Coleman Torres in the 500 Free with also an 8th place finish by 12 seconds!
Octavio Ronquillo dropped 10 seconds off his 200 Freestyle race!
There were many time drops at this Championship meet! Coaches are very proud of every student-athlete!
🌊The Regional diving meet is set for Jan. 29th, followed by swimming prelims and finals on Jan. 30-31 in Andrews, TX.🌊

Swim season has resumed after a week of rest and what a better way then to showing up today at Prelims in Andrews and making the Finals!! 🏊‍♂️💙🌊

50 Freestyle

Alexis Rodriguez - 100 Freestyle!
All Relays qualified as well!

Our FSHS Blue Wave swim team making waves!!! 💪🌊🏊‍♂️💙
Congratulations!!!!

FSHS Blue Wave swim team at the 2025 Seminole Christmas Invitational this Saturday, December 13th. The girls team finished 4th with 226 points, while the boys team placed 3rd overall with 223 points! Blue Wave competed against teams from their Region and couldn't be prouder of their grit and strength!

Top finishes:
Girls 200 Freestyle A Relay placed 3rd with Dustee Dale, Laeila Hernandez, Alexis Rodriguez, and Carla Vazquez.
And with the same girls, they placed 4th in the grueling 400 Freestyle Relay and 5th in the 200 Medley Relay.
Girls 200 Freestyle B Relay placed 6th with Izabella Fierro, Niea Settle, Carly Sandoval, and Kylea Maher, and the same girls placed 7th in the 400 Freestyle Relay.
Individually Top 8:
Dustee Dale - 8th place in the 50 Freestyle
Carla Vazquez - 7th place in the 100 Butterfly
Alexis Rodriguez - 7th place in the 100 Freestyle
Laeila Hernandez - 8th place in the 100 Freestyle

The Boys 200 A Medley Relay placed 6th place with Alexandro Montoya, Christian Soto, Daniel Perez, and Dario Montes.
The Boys 200 A Free relay placed 6th with Montoya, Perez, Montes, and Black.
The Boys 400 A Free relay placed 8th with Montoya, Montes, Soto, and Ramos.
The Boy 200 B Medley Relay placed 8th with Camiren Sexton, Mason May, Andrew Black, and Cisco Ramos.
Individually Top 8:
Daniel Perez - 8th place in the 100 Butterfly
Christian Soto - 7th place in the 100 Freestyle
Dario Montes - 8th place in the 100 Freestyle

The Seminole Christmas Invitational provided valuable racing experience against tough competition and set a strong foundation heading into championship season in January. The next swim meet is set for January 2nd & 3rd in Andrews, TX at 11:00 AM for both prelims and finals.
