There could never be a picture or video to truly embody the pride and hustle that lies within these two Soldiers. Over the past week, the State Command Sergent Major, SCSM Jeff Logan had the absolute privilege to witness SGT Tenoschok and SGT Mackrell give 100% effort towards each and every event that came their way.

We are so very proud of our two Georgia National Guard Soldiers, as they both placed second in their competition bracket at the Regional Best Warrior Competition. Also, SGT Tenoschok was awarded the Gold German Proficiency Badge!

What an achievement for both of these Soldiers!

Be sure to reach out and congratulate them on an outstanding competition!

Day two of the Regional Best Warrior Competition brought a challenging competition.

Starting the day off with a 12 mile ruck march, the Soldiers truly tested their endurance. Moving right along to the next event, the Soldiers went to the Claymore Range where they were able to fire a live claymore. Once they completed the Claymore, they went right into medical lanes. During the medical lanes, they were tested on 10 various task within the medical field. The day ended with the day portion of land navigation and then straight into the night portion of the land navigation course.

Day two has definitely been challenging, but we truly have two of the best warriors competing! Keep them lifted high as they continue into day three of competition and start the morning off with the ACFT!

Day three of the Georgia Best Warrior Competition has been the toughest of them all. After a grueling few days of physical and mental demands, their morning kicked off at 0300 and their first challenge was land navigation. Next on the agenda, the Soldiers were tested on their ability to evaluate a casualty, apply an occlusive dressing, request medical evacuation, perform casualty movement, employ an M18 Claymore, search a vehicle in the tactical environment and search individual in a tactical environment. To cap off their night, they completed a 10 mile ruck march around Dobbins Air Force Base.

Keep up the hustle! Three days down, ONE MORE TO GO!!

Today started strong with weapon functions and familiarity. All nine competitors were tested on their ability to dissassemble/assemble, and properly conduct functions checks on: M9 pistol, M4 carbine, M249, M240, and machine gun. In addition, the Soldiers prepared a M136 AT-4 and executed a mystery event which entailed changing the tire on a HMWWV.

Part two consisted of profeciency and ability to move under direct and indirect fire. Their other mystery events were "swiss seat" and "weapons pile".

Today has truly tested mechanical soldiering skills!
