River Valley Fitness is incredibly fortunate to have an owner like Randy who is committed to continually improving our gym and investing in the future of fitness.
This week, Randy attended the 2026 Health & Fitness Association (HFA) Fly-In and Advocacy Summit in Washington, D.C., where 130 fitness industry leaders from across the country gathered to discuss the future of health, wellness, and physical activity in America. The event brought together gym owners, fitness executives, healthcare leaders, and lawmakers to advocate for policies that promote healthier communities, reduce healthcare costs, and strengthen our nation’s readiness through physical activity.
Attendees heard from national leaders including Dr. Mehmet Oz, Administrator of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, and Admiral Brian Christine of the U.S. Public Health Service. Discussions focused on the growing recognition that fitness and physical activity are essential components of healthcare and disease prevention.
The summit concluded with meetings on Capitol Hill, where fitness industry leaders met with members of Congress and their staff to ensure the voice of the fitness industry is heard at the national level.
Randy’s willingness to invest his time in events like this demonstrates his dedication to bringing new ideas, industry knowledge, and opportunities back to River Valley Fitness. His commitment to staying informed and engaged helps ensure that our members benefit from the latest trends, best practices, and innovations in the fitness industry.
