Good Morning After! What a day!

Great work to all involved--Golf course staff, our amazing Care To Share Volunteers, Sponsors & Donors, Andrew & Stephanie and their families, and ALL OF YOU GOLFERS---Thank you all for caring and sharing.

As with any event this big, there are hiccups. We worked thru some of last year's wrinkles only to be met with dangerous heat that caused Silent Auction confusion and a very difficult decision on the Live Auction.

First--we acknowledge a communication gap with some of our team wrapping up the silent auction at 6 as stated on the paperwork, but other staff actively telling late golfers still on the course that they would be able to bid once they got to the clubhouse. Our apologies, and we are working thru the bid sheets to try and make some amends on a few of the disappoints that we know about--stay tuned.

Second--We spoke with several golfers before deciding to postpone the Live Auction and all agreed it was a wise decision given the heat, and worst case "won't be any hurt feelings."

We were hesitant---we had great auction items, it's a great fundraiser for us and there is merit to "strike while the iron is hot," and some people were still at the clubhouse that were excited to bid. That said, there were many others that were exhausted from the heat and still others going to the 250th and fireworks celebration in Pitt, so for what we hope is the greater good, we went ahead with the postponement.

To each of you that were ready and waiting to bid, we apologize that our decision didn't meet your expectations. We will clearly communicate the new date of the replacement auction with the same items, and we hope you will attend for another round of fun with your golf and Care to Share friends.

Can't wait 'til next year--we lose Andrew as lead organizer, but we gain him as an un-stressed golfer and ready-and-willing fundraiser, and we will take what we've learned each year and make 2027 the best tournament yet.

Stay tuned and expect earlier and more communication as this team continues to improve...

Its a long day, im finally home and off to bed. I have a couple teams payouts for flights, youll be contacted directly for that... i will post total scores of everyone tomorrow. Here's a list of skins before I head out. Ill get it divided up and pay teams as soon as I can get with you!

Thank you again everyone for making my last year a great one. The tournament will still go on but I will be stepping down effective now. Its been a fun ride, I'll still be around, I'll still be playing every year but its time for someone else to take the main golf side.

I hate writing novels but here we are.... over the multiple years of helping get this going in the background with Steve and Ben for Special Olympics to the point were at today as Care to Share, I've enjoyed this road. We've had so many teams play!!!! We've had 60+ teams, we've had waiting lists, and more.... you have all been the reason we keep doing it. Thank you. The golfers are what makes this tournament special. You all provide so much more than you can imagine.

Thank you again for all the golfers over the years. Ill see you again next year but i think ill be sitting back enjoying golfing a little more this next go around.

Late reminder if you are a golfer with a cart and trailer please park at KRI (Old hospital). We have very limited parking at the course for everyone. Please don't drive your cart across the grass at KRI either. Take the time to drive on the asphalt.
