We working on keeping this page more current. www.instagram.com/wiregrassrfc The Wiregrass Rugby Club is a community team made up of Soldiers at Fort Novosel and civilians living in the surround cities. We are a diverse group that is always growing and welcome all skill levels to join us. As long as you are 18+ we can find a spot for you on the team! Help us grow. Women are welcome to join us as w

ell at practices and matches. While we will not have a female team yet, you will be able to register under our club and play in tournaments/sub for other teams until we set one up. We plan to join The True South Rugby Union by the start of the Fall 2025 season. Catch us on the Pitch!

We're this side of one week out from the much anticipated Gene Higgins Memorial Cup - Alabama Rugby State Championship. Its been 3 years since its been held so the prize is highly coveted by all.

This year the reigning champions Huntsville Rugby Club will host as Geno's Hammers, Birmingham Vulcans Rugby and Wiregrass Rugby Club make the trek northbound to compete in honor of the namesake, Gene Higgins.

Guess who just got three new Level 1 certified coaches?! 💪🏾

On Saturday this past weekend, three of our members drove over to Alpharetta, GA, to take part in a USA Rugby certified coaches course. Shout out to Kendrick Berry, Andre Gutierrez, and Ryan Feidt for taking the time out of their weekend to participate on behalf of our club. We're super excited to apply what they've learned and will continue to grow our skill level as a club.
