Day two of two with Jack and Emily. Today was a catch and release day so I wasn’t taking pictures. I did however take this one of Emily and her First Smallmouth. It was a fun couple days. This trip was a wedding gift to Jack and Emily from a long time client and myself. It took us two years to finally get them on the boat. We were weathered out the previous two years.

Day one of two with Jack and Emily. We had a slowish morning bite but things picked up near midday. Emily caught her first Northerns today and Jack had a 12 pound Cat hit the Five of Diamonds.
We are looking for three pike tomorrow, then who knows🤷‍♂️

Finished up three days with Keith, Will Jess and Josh. We are sending them home with a limit of Pike and a few Lake trout.
This was a fun trip. Josh and I served five+ years together in the Army in Korea, Iraq and Fort Riley. Always great to have one of my brothers on the boat. Keith, Will and Jess are his Father in Law and Brothers in Law.
Already Looking forward to our trip next year. Thanks guys!

One of the occupational hazards of a fishing guide is we occasionally get a hook in us. Today’s hookup was a Doozy!
Looks like we will be dealing with the wind again tomorrow.

Fished today with Eli and Diana from Casper, WY. Pike were our target species today (and the rest of my season).
We had a slow morning bite that got better as the temps warmed but it was still a finicky bite.
At the end of the day, Eli and Diana had a pretty nice pile of fish for the freezer. I will see these guys again on Memorial Day weekend next year. Thanks guys!

Fished today with Tony and Eric. They traveled from The Denver area for a single day of pike fishing. We made the best of it.
Plenty of good eats heading home with these guys.
Tony comes three times a year usually for two days. We had to cut this one short with the expected winds tomorrow.

It’s been one year today since you said goodbye.
Not a day goes bye that I don’t think about you in one way or another. I have walked many miles of prairie alone this year that we walked together. The season’s are not quite the same without you. Although you are gone, just know that you are with me every day in everything I do. I Love you and miss you Dad!😢❤️
