This week I'm starting work on a project with a friend. A project about CONFIDENCE. One of the things I'm mulling over is how confidence impacts our motivation. When we're trying to do something big, scary, or important, we need enough confidence to approach tough effort with optimism.
I'm wondering though if there's an essential difference between how we think about CONFIDENCE and how we see BRAVERY. Does confidence indicate CERTAINTY? A mind already made up? Does bravery exist in the space where UNCERTAINTY and the DRIVE TO TRY combine?
As we're out on our Wild + Brave adventures, we need to access a kind of motivation for our efforts that pushes our minds open, that explores without waiting to get completely in control. To show up to life with a mind ready to work, instead of a mind already made up.
May you find the brave confidence to show up for hard efforts today, and give yourself permission to keep learning along the way.
