Meet our May Member of the Month, Reed P. ⚡💛

If there’s one thing Reed is going to do, it’s say yes to a challenge 😈 Since joining Thunder, he’s become the definition of stepping outside your comfort zone and seeing what’s possible on the other side.

Whether it’s getting talked into doing The Open (and getting his first ring muscle up 👀), signing up for a 24-hour Murph challenge, or pushing himself through Hyrox training, Reed consistently shows up ready to work 💪

One of Reed’s biggest accomplishments so far has been completing the Miami Hyrox. When he first signed up, weighted lunges had him sore for a week… but instead of backing down, he leaned into the process, trusted the training, and proved to himself what he was capable of 🔥 Now, he’s already chasing an even bigger goal: breaking 1:10 in his next race 🫡

What makes Reed’s approach so cool is that he doesn’t put himself in one lane. You’ll find him grinding through CrossFit classes, putting in extra work in the gym’s Hybrid Zone for race prep, and embracing whatever challenge is next. He’s incredibly coachable, one of the hardest workers in the room, and always willing to try something new ⚡️

Reed says fitness has changed his perspective on life and wants to help others build fitness that supports their everyday lives… and that mindset shows in how he supports everyone around him too 🫂

We’re lucky to have you in the community, Reed! Thanks for always being willing to lean into the uncomfortable and showing everyone what awesomeness happens when you do 🤩⚡️

Meet our April Member of the Month, Steven ⚡💛

When he joined in May 2025, Steven was focused on running… but now he has gone all in on CrossFit and quickly realized that “barbell cardio” can do a lot for your race times without needing to hit the pavement every day 😅

Steven thrives on the challenge and the energy of being surrounded by others pushing themselves, and that mindset has led to some big wins 🏆After months of work, he recently hit his first bar muscle-up and then his first ring muscle-up just a week later during 26.2 🔥 Huge shoutout (from him!) to Coaches Thor, Sam, Clay, and TC for the guidance and encouragement along the way 💪🏻

Steven was also a major part of The Open, showing up all day to judge and support the community, then capping it off in all white with that milestone muscle-up moment.

With goals of getting stronger, improving his gymnastics, becoming a more well-rounded athlete, and taking on Murph at the end of the month, Steven continues to show up ready to work in class and in the Hybrid Zone ⚡️He’s bought into the coaching, the community, and the atmosphere here at Thunder… and it shows every single day!

We’re pumped to have you in the community, Steven! Keep getting after it and we can’t wait to take on Murph with you🤩💪

From the comp floor to the pavement… Thunder members SHOWED UP this past weekend! ⚡️

🏆 Our coaches Laura & Katrina + one of our own absolutely CRUSHED it at WodWars… taking FIRST on the podium (and in our hearts 🤪)
🔥 Several CrossFit & DIY members took on the Miami Hyrox and put their badassery to the test
🏃‍♂️ And a bunch of you got out there and tackled local 5Ks like it was just another Saturday!

This is what Thunder Performance and CrossFit are all about… real fitness in the real world 👏 Whether you were training in classes or getting after it in the 24/7 Hybrid Zone… you did the dang thing!

CONGRATS & we couldn’t be more proud of this community! 💪🤩⚡️

Meet our March Member of the Month, Luisianny ⚡💛

Originally from Maracay, Venezuela 🇻🇪, Luisianny has been showing up in a BIG way - 20 classes in February and officially earning her spot in our Committed Club. That kind of consistency (especially at 5am 😅) says everything about her dedication!

One of her proudest moments since starting CrossFit with us in January was signing up for The Open… something she never imagined doing 🥹🔥 And she’s just getting started!!! With goals of getting stronger, building muscle, and finally conquering those box jumps (we’ve got you 💪), she continues to push herself every single day.

What makes Luisianny so special isn’t just her work ethic... it’s the way she shows up for others. She brings encouragement, positivity, and truly embodies what makes this community so strong. And beyond the gym, she’s setting the best example for her sweet girls through her commitment to fitness and nutrition ❤️

Meet our February Member of the Month, Alex ⚡💛

Born and raised right here in Cape Coral, Alex is the definition of steady, humble grit. He’s a full-time park ranger, which honestly makes perfect sense, because whether he’s on the job or in the gym, he shows up ready for whatever challenge is in front of him 🌲💪

Alex has been a committed part of the Thunder fam for nearly three years and just hit an incredible milestone: 500 classes!!! 👏 That kind of consistency doesn’t happen by accident. It’s built rep by rep, day by day ⚡️

Lately, he’s been stacking some serious wins! Ring muscle-ups unlocked and a 2nd place finish at the Dungeon Games 🏆🔥 And he’s officially registered for his second CrossFit Open at Thunder with a big goal of finishing in the top 25% and pushing toward Quarterfinals. You already know we’re rooting hard for this!!!

CrossFit keeps Alex ready for work and life, but what really keeps him here is the unmatched community and coaching. He’s always signing up for local comps, throwing down at .usaw or stepping in to judge during the Open at Friday Night Lights. If there’s a way to support Thunder, Alex is already on the list 🤩⚡️

Congrats on 500 classes and an incredible start to 2026, Alex!!! Thank you for leading with intention, working hard, and investing in this community every single week ⚡💛
